Tourism plays an important role in the economic development of the region with its unique characteristic and natural resources. as per world tourism organization report the tourism industry is one of the fastest growing industries in india& specifically in gujarat. there are various types of tourism like cultural tourism, adventure tourism, eco-tourism, medical tourism, etc. gujarat is gifted by nature with various tourist spots and some spots are in well-developed condition. there is still number of spots available in gujarat which requires addition infrastructure provision for better development. wilson hill situated in south gujarat region is one of them which are not able to come up as well-known tourist spot in the gujarat. also it is one of the few hill stations in world where sea view is available. tourism development proposal for the wilson hill situated at 29 km from dharampur having about 14.37 ha area at top is carried out. there are few tourist spots already exists at wilson hill like sunrise point, sunset point, ozone valley point and marble chatri point, etc. but they are not serving the purpose for major tourist attraction. the detailed tourist profile survey carried out covering about 194 tourists to know that they are satisfied or unsatisfied with facility provided. the various government offices were visited to collect the inventory data regarding the tourist interest point at wilson hill and nearby area. based on inventory data & tourist profile survey, detailed conceptual plan proposed for tourism development at wilson hill. the proposal contains sunrise point, sunset point, ozone valley point, marble chatri point, sea view tower point, spiritual center, ayurvedic health center, amusement park, children play area, information center, various parking zones, food zones and adventurous rope way sliding point. the detailed journey plan as proposed for wilson hill area will surely hold the tourists for long duration. also the 2-day, 3-day & 4-day tour packages covering nearby tourist places like saputara, ahwa, dang, daman & dandi is proposed for making wilson hill well known to the tourist.
