Rudramata dam is situated taluka of bhuj in nokhaniya the bank of kharipur river. rudramata dam is earthen dam. it is very vast dam.the construction work of rudramata dam was started in 1959 and completed the work in 1970.the length of dam in left side is 304.80m and right side is 912.39m. the total length of earthen dam is 1217.19m. the r.l. of top of dam is 71.63m and free board of dam is 3.36m. the height of earthen dam above g.l. is 27.58m and height of earthen dam deepest foundation level is 37.0m. the gradient of rudramata dam is 1:2000. in rainy season at the time of heavy rainfall water is stored in a dam. but, when it rains more than storage capacity of dam that time this access water overflows towards desert area. in desert area that water is not usefull for any purpose and sedimentation comes with water. so, the fertility of land is decrease. the storage of water in dam is used for irrigation purpose. the dam has capacity to fulfill demand of water for only six months. so, it is necessary to increaseheight of dam, storage capacity of water in dam and prevent access water to floew and that water to which is running towards desert area. to solve this problem we are trying to how can we store water and how can we store more water and how can we save money and take less input and get more output we are trying to this on this project. the impervious layer which is in dam on this layer how can save more water on this layer and how can we save water which is westage and go to the desert area and save more water and make it “best from west” and that water we can used in irrigation and increase income of farmers. we are trying this in this project.
