The project aims to transform juvenile detention centers into correctional facilities that balance control and freedom, fostering a rehabilitative environment. the objective is to create a supportive setting that integrates secure yet inviting spaces, promoting positive behavioral changes and personal growth. the design will incorporate therapeutic elements such as natural light, calming colors, and ergonomic, age-appropriate furniture to reduce stress and enhance well-being. educational and workshop facilities will feature adaptable, multifunctional spaces to support a variety of learning and skill-building activities. public areas like classrooms, libraries, and lounges will be bright and welcoming to encourage interaction, while private sleeping quarters will be secure yet comfortable to ensure safety and personal space. the concept of controlled freedom will be implemented through observation strategies that allow freedom of movement within secure boundaries, fostering a sense of normalcy and security. the integration of indoor and outdoor recreational areas, along with private, welcoming spaces for counseling and therapy, will support physical activity, social interaction, and open communication, ultimately creating a humane and rehabilitative environment for young offenders.
