This device consists of two parts which can be sold separately or together in which on ensures the safety of the people in hilly areas and gives the skier some comforts also. the parts of this project have been discussed below – 1) thermoelectric wrist band – this module might look like a watch but is generally a mode for communication between the patrol units, informing the patrol centre whenever the person is in danger or some sort of peril. how it’ll do the work is by constantly checking the pulse rate of the user via a pulse sensor attached to the back of the wrist band module. as soon as the pulse rate drops below a particular level, using the transmitter module the watch will send an sos message to the patrol unit informing them that the skier is in danger or injured giving them the coordinates of the user using the gps module so that they can reach the user and help him/her. moreover, there is also a button installed on the wrist band which when pressed carries out the same function as was done before. hence, this wrist band module will help in ensuring the safety of the user preventing the deaths due to avalanches or other factors. furthermore, we have also developed an android application that can be used if the user previously has a smart watch or a health band and can be connected via bluetooth to the mobile (in charging position state in the skis). 2) ski charger module – the ski charger module is another part of this project which will deals with providing the skier with comforts. it has been seen in many cases that during skiing most of the electronics means which are generally used by skiers has no battery life left and in order to charge them, they have to go back to their place of accommodation. using the ski charger module, they can easily charge/decrease the rate of discharge of their phone while skiing using their own body heat and phone’s heat causing and enabling them to contact any emergency number during any problem or contact anyone and also enjoy skiing without any worries. ski charger module helps in increasing the safety factor previously made by the thermoelectric wrist band making it easier for them to find their way back to the ski centre. the main objectives while building this project thesis are as follows – 1) power generated must be sufficient to power the ski charger and wrist band module. 2) cost of the setup must not be so high so as to be non-affordable by the common folk. 3) the weight of the setup must not be so high such that it breaks the ski. hence, it has been hypothesised that this project will produce sufficient power so as to charge the phone as well as power the wrist band module. moreover, it will also be commercial, economical and will have supportable weight that, ski’s can withstand with ease. link to the project: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0bxji8fi6axdyls16netjlvfrnu0
