•The Project “Smart manhole cover” uses Limit Switches to sense the open drains and Atmenga328 microcontroller as the center of hardware circuitry. SIM908(GSM/GPS) shield connected to the microcontroller acts as the communicator device that alerts the municipal authorities with the text message of the location and status of the manhole in that region. An LED shield glows based on the impulse received form the microcontroller based on the sensor readings. The power source for whole circuitry is 12V rechargeable battery.
