Monuments have been part of our life since very long. they have been representing out history and culture. they have been standing over thousand years and have faced many earthquakes yet very less damage has been faced. after studying effects of earthquake one can moderate our recent buildings from preventing damage in earthquake hazards. the purpose of this project is to analyze the static and dynamic properties of ancient indian monuments. for that purpose modhera sun temple, gujarat has been taken as the monument. the 3d modelling and analysis is done by using sap2000 v15 software. seismic co-efficient analysis, modal analysis and time history analysis is performed on the model and based on outcomes time history and response spectrum graphs are prepared.
