Resource Recovery Of Reject Water From Domestic Reverse Osmosis (ro) Plant
Project Description :

The reverse osmosis (ro) purification process is essential to remove dissolved impurities like arsenic, fluorides, heavy metals, etc. as they are harmful for health. conventional ro purification technology, while purifying, rejects a very high percentage of water (around 65%) and only 35% purified water is recovered. balance water is wasted and goes down the drain. the research mainly narrates the methodology which offers 0% water wastage in ro purifier. it mainly includes addition of reject water to hot water pipelines, feeding with fresh water pipelines. also it includes storage of balance rejected water in a separate ‘reject water tank’, which can be utilized for household purposes. the net result is 0% water wastage.
