In this project, practical means of facilitating participatory steps taken in productivity enhancement by using six sigma methodology with the emphasis on rejection minimization by first analysing it and then by taking capa(corrective and preventive actions) in austin engineering company limited. actually here we deal with two types of rejection viz. external rejection and internal rejection. in analysis process of external rejection the key aspect is to analyse the data from customer feedback form of the company which is done online through a web site and resulting in generation of pie-charts, bar-charts which includes calculation of overall rejection of company based on customer ratings. in internal rejection we use a mechanism called âÃÂÃÂtracing of jobâÃÂàwhich means during production the web site will give the status about the particular product the employee desires to know. hence by this means the company can inspect jobs during production process. total rejection includes contribution with internal rejection as well as external rejection. after analysing the whole data, various capa (corrective and preventive actions) are taken for both the types of rejection viz. internal and external rejection. in external rejection, we focus on the feedback of customers and find whether which department in the company is responsible for rejection for example: designing, planning etc. whereas in internal rejection we focus on the internal process due to which the rejection has occurred and take steps to modify and upgrade that process to reduce rejection for example: heat treatment etc. hence we move towards six sigma.
