The refreshable braille pad is an electro-mechanical device for displaying braille characters, usually by means of round-tipped pins raised through holes in a flat surface. any text document from computer is first converted into its equivalent braille text (the text is first divided in such a way that at a time only 14 characters are displayed with no break of words through an algorithm), this file is then transfered from computer to braille board via usb. in braille board micro controller (atmega64) will perform ascii calculations and raise the respective pins through driver circuit.
