Meditag
Project Description :

The purpose of meditag is to provide an ease for the hospitals to manage patients information within a tag in an efficient manner and no time wasting for gathering the paper files. the main objective of this system is to efficiently evaluate the patient’s data thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results. talking in the perspective of a patient the only thing that strikes first is that patient has, lots of treatments undergone, many health records to be maintained, and after which remembering the concerned doctor’s name and other details, becomes impossible at a certain point of time when the details have to be conveyed. to make it easier this concept of maintaining a centralised information system and sharing has been proposed through the use of rfid technology. rfid is known for its unique id number. using this advantage, the monitoring of a patient is done whenever he arrives at the hospital. in case of any shifts from the hospital the information is still available. every patient is provided with a unique rfid number and all the details regarding the patient and treatments are stored in a centralised database which is retrieved by the server. the objective is to create a standards-based system to securely access patient’s personal data and medical records by using rfid tags and web service, with the help of hardware kit.as the system is built on web services, it is easy to update, adapt and grow. trying to identify an unconscious patient or patient who is unable to communicate can lead to delays in treatment. with this system emergency departments can improve efficiency while enhancing the level of patient care.this project uses the hardware kit to get the patient id. the hardware kit will send the patient id to the serial port of the system. hence tracking and monitoring of patients, their case sheets and medical equipment can be efficiently carried out.
