Deforestation is a major menace of the world which has a lot of effects on the environment- a contributor towards global warming, loss of habitat for millions of species, air pollution, soil erosion, drought, floods etc.but the list is endless!! paper production is one of the causes. paper is something that is very important for our daily use. if there was no paper nothing could be done!!-no studies, no mails, nothing!! and most importantly what if you don't have the toilet paper??? hence paper is essential,which means excessive cutting of trees. so to reduce this problem i chose the potato peels for the production of paper which is suitable for writing and toilet too!! i was able to collect the chemicals, perform the experimentation and create good quality paper from potato peel waste which could be used for daily purpose. this method designed by me is very simple and it can be done at home as well. in this way anyone can produce the paper easily. even the paper making industries could use this idea without cutting the precious trees. the chemicals i used were mostly the same as in the paper making industries.further i did not use any of the harmful chemical in its production and last but not least its chlorine free. the potato peel papers can successfully decrease the number of trees cut down and waste from our surroundings. the product is accessible, acceptable and feasible for society. in future i would like to create more such projects.
