Switched-mode power supply (smps) is an electronic power supply that incorporates a switching regulator to convert electrical power efficiency. this power supply transfers power from source to load. since power supplies are so widely used in electronic equipments like plcs, computers and their peripherals etc.; these devices now comprise a worldwide segment of the electronics market in excess of $5billion annually. these equipments require not only dc voltage but voltage must be well filtered and regulated. power supplies available in market are less flexible in terms of their input voltage range and power boosting capacity. in case of large voltage fluctuations, these power supplies results in malfunction of the power circuit. to overcome these problems, flexibility in input voltage range can be increased and power boost capacity can be brought up to 150%. this power supply will be having more protection towards short circuit and overheating in three different modes. by using these modes, this power supply can restart automatically or manually. it provides more power at changing rated temperature; also, parallel connection can be done without using high precision instruments which will be an add-on feature for the product in market. the input voltage range can be made flexible by smart circuit designing using smt technology which also reduces the size and weight of product. for more protection we use magneto-thermic circuit breaker which triggered quickly and reliably with this technology. it allows to safely managing any overload and short circuit condition. a relay will be used for monitoring the output voltage level. for safety against heavy loading and vibrations we will use the new din rail mounting bracket. our power supply based on quasi-resonant switching circuit will give efficiency up to 91% and very dynamic & robust power supply wide range of loads such as plcs, sensors, motors etc. by using this power supply, the reliability of the power supply can be brought up to 5 lakh hours.
