The project is to develop a fixed wing vtol aircraft. a vtol aircraft is one that can take off and land from the same spot similar to a helicopter, but what sets it apart is its ability to travel faster than a helicopter by utilizing the principles of flight followed by a conventional aircraft. our model is a fixed wing tilt rotor vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. the aircraft has 2 flight modes a)a multirotor with a y-4 configuration which aids in the vertical takeoff and landing of the aircraft. it is also a more stable configuration that can be used when the conditions are turbulent and hover above any singular point. this hovering can be used to exactly drop a payload at a desired place. b) the forward flight configuration which is basically a biprop plane. in this mode the coaxial motor mount placed at the back would be cut-off and thus the drone consumes lower power and is able to travel longer distances. additionally, travelling in the forward flight configuration is faster than the conventional multirotor speed. therefore this enables the drone to travel and complete longer missions that it has been tasked with making it very versatile.
