A large amount of energy is wasted at the speed -breakers through friction, every time a vehicle passes over it. so electricity can be generated using the vehicle weight and speed(kinetic energy) as input. simple energy conversation from mechanical to electrical is used as a basic principle here. this principle can be achieved by using three mechanism 1)crank-shaft 2)roller 3)rack-pinion. in this project we are going to use rack-pinion mechanism. from our project such speed breakers can be designed for heavy vehicles thus increasing input torque & ultimately output of generator.
