This project will shed light on the probability of cementum as a biocompatible treatment for major bone defects. cementum could be applied in clinical applications if it is proven to enhance bone regeneration, especially after minor bone injuries or dental surgery where its inherent qualities meet tissue requirements. some of the potential benefits are: costeffectiveness: cementum could offer an inexpensive alternative for metals or synthetic polymers. better bonding: since cementum is a natural substance, it may allow for easier integration between this component and the surrounding bone tissue. ecological sustainability: cementum, a naturally derived substance could reduce dependency on artificial materials and promote more environment friendly medical procedures. the success of this project could further lead to studies in more complex bone defects and other tissue repair applications using cementum. it can also expand to other branches of regenerative medicine, for example joint repair and periodontal regeneration.
