Design Of Cntfet Tspc Flipflop Based Shift Registers

Flip-flop and four types of shift registers i.e. serial-in, serial-out, serial-in, parallel-out, parallel-in, parallel-out and parallel-in, serial-out shift registers are designed based on conventional and true single phase clocking (tspc) flip-flop technique. compared to conventional flip-flop, tspc has lesser number of transistors and low power consumption. flip-flops and all types of shift registers are designed using mosfet and cntfet (carbon nanotube field effect transistor) in conventional and low power technique. tspc technique provides a flip flop which have high speed and low power consumption technique. low power consumption cntfet based flip flop and shift registers has designed. for simulating cntfet based designs synopsys (h’spice) software is used and for simulating mosfet (metal oxide field effect transistor) based designs, tanner tool (t’spice) is used. the technology used for mosfet based designs is 32nm technology and for the cntfet based designs a ballistic cntfet is used. power consumption of flip-flops and shift registers are analyzed.
