Density Based Traffic Control With Traffic Signal Override And Prioritization
Project Description :

In this system, we will use ir sensors to measure the traffic density. we have to arrange one ir sensor for each road; these sensors always sense the traffic on that particular road. all these sensors are interfaced to the microcontroller. based on these sensors, controller detects the traffic and controls the traffic system. also traffic signal override is incorporated with this system for giving right of way to emergency vehicles like ambulance, fire tenders, etc. this system will control traffic signals in the path of an emergency vehicle, halting conflicting traffic and allowing the emergency vehicle right-of-way, to help reduce response times and enhance traffic safety. furthermore, traffic signal prioritization can be used by bus rapid transit systems to allow public transportation priority access through intersections.
