Comparative Study Of Load Frequency Controllers - A Matlab/simulink Implementation
Project Description :

The objective of the control strategy is to generate and deliver power in an interconnected power system as economically and reliably as possible while maintaining the voltage and frequency within permissible limits. changes in real power effect mainly the system frequency, while r eactive power is less sensitive to changes in frequency and is mainly dependent on changes in voltage magnitude. load frequency control (lfc) loop controls the real power and frequency. load frequency control (lfc) has gained importance with the growth of interconnected systems and has made the operation of interconnected systems possible. in this matlab/simulink based project, a load frequency controller is designed using both classical (root locus, bode plots) and modern (state space) techniques in matlab m-files. their performance is compared using simulink implementation of these controllers.
