This system will helps in preventing the diversion of commodities which are not drawn by the beneficiaries, black marketing and corruption in existing public distribution system by implementing a fault proof automatic electronic public distribution system. consumer affairs, food and civil supplies department, manages the public distribution system (pds) in delivering for food grains- mainly rice, wheat, sugar and kerosene are supplied to the eligible families holding ration cards, through the fair price department, manages the public distribution system (pds) in delivering for food grains- mainly rice, wheat, sugar and kerosene are supplied to the eligible families holding ration cards, through the ration shops. our automatic ration machine (arm) counters can replace this already existing manual ration shops and can completely avoid the human interference, which leads to the black marketing and corruption. arm will act in a similar way as that of atm counters, in such a way that instead of atm card an rfid ration card is provided to the public. instead of distributing money in atm counter, arm distributes commodities like sugar, kerosene, rice. wheat etc in accurate quantity to the people with the help of a robotic interface. arm is provided with an rfid reader which is used to read the rfid inscribed on each individual ration card in order to obtain the details of the consumer. it is also provided with a display which shows the information about a particular customer and list of commodities and quantities sanctioned for that customer by the government. the system is also provided with inventory storage areas where ration items such as sugar, kerosene, rice. wheat etc. are stored for supply in day-today basis just like money stored in atm counter. the quantities of the items issued for two classes i.e. apl and bpl by the government is already recorded in the system as threshold values. the system also provided with a digital weighting machine in order to measure the quantities of the item such as sugar wheat etc. during a transaction. it is provided with liquid level indicator for measuring the liquid items such as kerosene during a transaction. the system is also provided with sms message sending facility to the nearby pds outlet when an un authorized card entry occurs. the system has a robot- user interface in order to avoid human interference as much as possible. robotic section will distribute the commodities to the corresponding consumers with the help of a mechanical arm. robot action is wirelessly controlled and is provided with a dedicated ir camera for surveillance. the camera will be automatically activated using a pir sensor. if someone tries to tamper with the machine, it will be detected using specific sensors and messages will be sent to the officials directly. as every transaction with a user is marked in the online database, the ration shop owner won’t be able to sell the same commodities in the blackmarket as this will result in commodity information mismatch which will inturn trigger the gsm module to inform the authorities.
