This project gives a better solution for automating the compressor when deviating from the predefined conditions. there are two compressors in the plant in which one compressor is in running mode and the other is in standby mode at a time. compressor is the main and the primary part in the plant, as it supplies the air to all pneumatic devices in the plant. so if the compressor is damaged, it stops the whole productivity of the plant so when the conditions fail the compressor should be turned off and the other compressor is turned on. here we use programmable logic controller (plc) for this automation. at first, the water should be supplied to the compressor under certain pressure. if the water pressure reaches the defined pressure the compressor is turned on and the oil flow is started it also has a defined pressure value. during the running of compressor, the water and oil should not reduce below the defined pressure, if it happens the compressor should turn off and the other compressor is turned on after indicating in the human machine interface (hmi) along with an alarm.
