Faster growing population demands an efficient transport system. this report consists of study and evaluation of rmts (rajkot mass transit system). mass transit system plays an important role in the public transportation. based on the routes of rmts the research on public transportation transit system is initiated. on the basis of characteristics of passenger transfer, on-board time, transit time, transit distance and transit cost; the problems in transit facility, transit path, transit scheduling and transit management are analyzed. the improvement for each aspect (i.e. re-routing and re-scheduling) is practiced finally to ensure the effectiveness of rmts.
