A Low Cost Cardiovascular Diagnostic Instrument For Rural Healthcare
Project Description :

Public health centres in developing countries generally lack medical expertise and access to diagnostic devices for cardiovascular diseases. commercially available arterial pulse analyzers are costly and not portable. arterial pulse analysis of radial and brachial artery can be used to observe an early indication, if any, of cardio vascular diseases. a low-cost portable arterial pulse analyzer has been developed, which records the pressure waves at radial and brachial arteries non-invasively using piezoelectric ceramic plate sensors. this analyzer provides real time display of arterial pulse waveforms during the test and the analysis of waveforms in digitally storable format.
